EcoArmour

EcoArmour is a synthetic erosion control blanket designed to withstand Australia’s harshest climates – from dry, arid conditions to torrential wind and rain events. Compared to conventional erosion control blankets, our solution is proven to be more effective, safer to apply, and more cost-effective with functional longevity of more than 20 years.

Designed to Stabilise Any Surface

EcoArmour binds effectively to different substrates, including soil, clay, rock, shale, weathered concrete, sand, and sandy loam. This means our solution is easy to apply even to areas that are usually difficult to manage.

Our product also meets all relevant transport and main roads specifications, including:

• MRSW52 – Erosion and sediment control
• 20601P – Geobinders
• 20605P – Erosion control blanket

Key benefits

Easy Application
The application of EcoArmour is straightforward and up to 10 times faster to install than conventional erosion control blankets.
Immediate Results
Dries within 3 to 5 hours and provides immediate erosion control.
Durable
EcoArmour is UV and chemical resistant and features twice the abrasion resistance of traditional erosion control blankets, allowing functional longevity of 20 years plus.
Flexible
Ideal for the steepest slopes, the flexible membrane contours to the substrate and moves with it without cracking or chipping.

Application methods

Hose
Hose Application
Hoses supported by pumps allow us to reach steep and inaccessible slopes, as well as tight spaces over 250 metres away. Extended hose reels can also be used to reach areas which will otherwise be missed by other application methods.
Cannon
Cannon Application
Truck-mounted cannons can spray a distance of over 100 metres. Dual cannons can also be used for simultaneous application of the solution from both sides of the spray zone.

How it works

As with any erosion control project, we initially map the area using high-resolution drone technology to ensure we provide the most appropriate solution for the site. If required, we will conduct soil testing to confirm that EcoArmour® will be the most effective solution.

To maximise the longevity of EcoArmour®, site preparation is sometimes required to level the surface before application. Once prepared, application via Hose or HydroRig™ cannon ensures a uniform and even application of EcoArmour®

EcoArmour® dries quickly with the ability to withstand moderate rain events after 3 hours. Post application, we survey the site with our drone to ensure complete coverage and uniform application needed to achieve functional longevity of up to 20 years.

Drone Survey
A 3D survey is undertaken to map the surface area to a high level of accuracy
Site Preparation
Where required, the site is prepared and the substrate sprayed with emultion.
Ecoarmour Application
EcoArmour is mixed thoroughly within the holding tanks of our purpose-built HydroRigs.
Post monitoring
A drone fitted with scanning camera makes sure the application is consistent
