EnviroSoil® is an advanced soil amendment that offers many benefits for restoring soil quality after land disturbance. It helps to replenish essential nutrients and bioactivity, creating healthier soil for vegetation to thrive.

EnviroSoil® is a hydraulically applied material that can supplement topsoil, often removed or disturbed during construction or other land activities.

About EnviroSoil

The unique composition of EnviroSoil® allows rapid distribution over large areas with minimal effort.

The active components of EnviroSoil comprise of thermally-refined organic fibres, high carbon content, organic soil conditioners, seaweed extracts, and mineral blends such as basalt and microbial inoculants. Together, these ingredients synergistically enhance the growth conditions of the rhizosphere.

By utilizing a combination of nitrogen-fixing bacteria and mycorrhizae, the soil can be stimulated to replicate the natural cycle, ultimately resulting in the creation of a sustainable medium for plant germination. Furthermore, the thermally treated fibres not only offer an interlocking matrix to reduce erosion but also serve as a primary source of nourishment for microbial colonies to regenerate during the initial plant growth phase.

8 Active Components In EnviroSoil

EnviroSoil® is a breakthrough soil amendment that can be tailored to suit any type of degraded soil. It contains eight different active components that make it unique from commercial topsoil, providing numerous benefits, which include:

Bioactive soil conditioner

EnviroSoil’s soil conditioner retains moisture and suppresses plant disease and pests. The conditioner releases nutrients as it breaks down, improving the structure of the soil and making it easier for plants to take root. A better soil structure also allows water and air to move through the soil. This soil conditioner meets Australian standards for soil additives.

Naturally Engineered Wood Fibres

Naturally derived wood fibres in EnviroSoil provide erosion control and high water retention capabilities. Wood fibres can absorb and retain more moisture, making it possible to improve the soil’s ability to support plant growth.

High-Carbon Humate Soil Conditioner

The high carbon humate soil conditioner in EnviroSoil can be a source of valuable humic acids and other organic matter. These are used to improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of soil.

Kelp

Kelp is a good source of nutrients for soil, which are readily available for plants to use. The kelp in EnviroSoil can help promote healthy root development, thus stimulating plant growth and health.

Mineral fertiliser blend

The mineral fertiliser blend in EnviroSoil is formulated based on the specific needs of the project area. Mineral fertilisers induce the slow release of plant nutrients, and they can also help condition the soil.

Microbial Inoculants

Includes vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhiza (VAM) improve soil health through nutrient cycling. The inoculants in EnviroSoil include nitrogen-fixing bacteria and mychorrhizae, which help transform nutrients so that they can be easily absorbed and used by plants.

Site-Specific Fertiliser

In addition to the above-mentioned elements, EnviroSoil also has custom fertilisers with adjusted ratios of nutrients depending on what is deficient from the soil. These are customised additives to maximise success for site-specific conditions.

Biochar

EnviroSoil also contains biochar, a form of charcoal made from organic materials such as wood chips or agricultural waste. Biochar has a high nutrient and water-holding capacity, which makes it ideal for improving soil structure, increasing soil fertility, and enhancing water retention.

Why Use EnviroSoil?

Through extensive scientific research and utilizing a cutting-edge laboratory for in-depth soil analysis, EnviroSoil® has established itself as a robust solution to a wide array of soil challenges.

EnviroSoil provides a more cost-effective way of reclaiming large areas of degraded soil compared to using fresh topsoil, which is scarce and expensive to buy and apply.  EnviroSoil® provides excellent erosion control on all substrates for a comprehensive solution.

How EnviroSoil Works To Reclaim Your Land

EnviroSoil provides a unique combination of active components that work together to create the optimum soil to support the germination and growth of plants. The thermally-refined organic fibres act as protective matting, helping to minimise erosion and providing a primary food source for microbial colonies.

In addition, high carbon, seaweed extract and mineral blends, including basalt, are also mixed in. These ingredients offer an array of essential nutrients for healthy plant growth, such as nitrogen-fixing bacteria and mycorrhizae,  which mimic natural soil cycles.

Organic soil conditioners help to improve soils’ aeration, allowing for better water retention and nutrient absorption, which helps ensure a more balanced soil environment conducive to optimal plant health.

Seaweed extract contains many beneficial trace elements such as iodine, magnesium, zinc, and manganese, which are imperative for good health in plants. Mineral blends like basalt also help to provide additional minerals while modulating pH levels so they match the optimal levels required by plants.

Together these ingredients form a sustainable growing medium rich in organic matter and beneficial microbes useful for any type of soil environment. The application of EnviroSoil can involve either directly mixing it on existing soils or using it topically on affected areas.

It is an ideal solution for reclaiming land due to its ability to lock down organic matter and reduce erosion while promoting healthy root systems with improved water infiltration rates over time.
